Kicking Horse - An Overview

You are surrounded by rugged snow capped mountain peaks for as far as the eye can see, making postcard perfect memories.

Action Packed

The resort is small and friendly, but offers incredible mountain credentials and with an annual snowfall of 30 feet you will find Kicking Horse to be one of the most exciting and action packed winter resorts in all of Canada.

Kicking Horse Mountain offers a vertical of 4,133 feet over 3,000 acres which is covered in perfect powder snow, making this an amazing location for experts and those that are looking to push themselves and perfect their skills. But the intimate resort also means that it is still ideal for beginners too as you can enjoy wide open runs where you can take your time moving down the mountain at your own pace whilst you build your confidence and skills.

Scenery

Golden is situated in a perfect location, close by to six of the most stunning National Parks that Canada has to offer (Banff, Glacier, Jasper, Kootenay, Mount Revelstoke and Yoho), so you can enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery as well as one of the best ski mountains around. Located just across the border from Lake Louise, you are in a great hub to explore all of the surrounding area whilst on your holiday too!

Accomodation

If you are looking for ski-in/ski-out accommodation while you are staying here then you can choose from three gorgeous lodges, comfy town homes, luxurious 10-room boutique lodges and resort homes – so you are spoilt for choice! Or if you would rather stay in the town of Golden, you can enjoy free use of the shuttle bus included in your lift pass so that you can be at the slopes in only 15 minutes. In the town you will find a myriad of restaurants, shops and bars where you can relax after a day on the mountain, enjoy some scrummy mountain cuisine and socialise with the locals!

For occasional and non-skiers you can enjoy a wealth of activities on offer such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling, Telemark skiing, ice skating, tubing – there is certainly something for everyone at this action packed resort!
